iRecord

Find a returning patient faster than registering them again.

iRecord is Nigeria’s patient identity layer: one fast, safe search across the identifiers and folder numbers already in use—so staff find returning patients before opening another record, even when the network drops.

Find the right patient before opening another folder

Nigeria does not lack patient identifiers. It has NIN, insurance and programme IDs, and every hospital’s folder numbers. What is broken is the lookup: when searching is slower or less certain than opening a new record, the queue creates another duplicate. iRecord makes the safer action the faster one.

One search box

Scan a QR card or enter an NG-HID, local folder number, phone number, or name. iRecord detects the input, and fuzzy matching connects spelling variants, nicknames, and reordered Nigerian names.

Masked, three-question confirmation

Results show only initials, birth year, sex, LGA, and the last four phone digits. The officer confirms the patient with three questions before any full identity is revealed.

Offline for at least three days

Pre-allocated NG-HID blocks and encrypted local storage keep full registration working through network outages. When service returns, iRecord syncs and re-checks duplicates—never a silent merge.

How it works

From search to card in three clear steps

A practical front-desk workflow built for shared Android devices, patchy 3G, paper folders, and a queue that cannot wait.

Search

Scan the QR card or search by NG-HID, folder number, phone, or name. One box handles every lookup.

Confirm

Review masked candidates and ask three questions: date of birth, phone number, and mother’s first name by default.

Link and print

Link the confirmed identity to the facility folder and print or write the card. If there is no match, the details already entered carry into new registration.

Built for the queue, not a policy document

"With 40–80 patients waiting, a safe search must be faster than opening another folder. iRecord is designed around that front-desk reality."

For registration staff and facility managers

"Uncertain matches go to a named specialist reviewer—never a front-desk guess. Care continues on a temporary link while the evidence is reviewed off-queue."

For identity stewards and health-system sponsors
